This post is completely correct. Yes, millions of animal lives are lost unnecessarily due to our own negligence/selfishness and it’s horrific. HOWEVER this was totally not the time to point that out. We’re in a period of mourning and the last thing anyone wants to hear is about animal tragedy. Us vegans can take any other time to (kindly) remind others that animals are precious beings who shouldn’t be forced into the cruelty of our consumption, etc. I’m 200% for that movement.
But not now.
Not after the world is mourning such incredibly deep losses.
