I understand some people are angry at the fact that this arc is about Captain Swan and how Emma has done all this for Hook. But here’s the thing, there’s a reason for this. 

Season one centered around Emma and Henry, it developed the mother/son bond. 

Season three was centered around Emma and her parents and her finally accepting her home.

Season four was about Emma and accepting herself. They developed her friendship with Regina and Elsa.

Now season five is about Emma and Killian. They’re developing their love story. In the previous seasons, their love story wasn’t the center of the plot, it ran in the background.

And whether you like Captain Swan or not, this show is about Emma Swan and she loves Killian Jones. And y’all can talk about how “problematic” it is (let’s be real, you’re just angry that your crack ship will never be) but that’s not going to change things. 

The writers know what they’re doing, do I always agree with them? No. But I see what they’re doing and why. So relax. The writers are not going to stop developing the most popular ship because of your whines.
