So I’ve seen a bit if spoilery information and subsequent fandom wank about Emma giving Regina the dagger and you know what? I haven’t actually got a problem with it. I’ve seen some posts lamenting about how it’s out of character that Emma wouldn’t trust Hook or her parents or Henry enough to give them the dagger but I think y’all are forgetting something.

Emma giving someone the dagger is not: “hey, i trust you with my life and autonomy. here’s the only thing that can control me.”

It’s more along the lines of (imo): “hey, you’re the person i trust to do what needs to be done if things get really bad. here’s the only thing that can kill me.”

Just saying, but you really think Emma would force her parents, son or lover to kill her when all of them have already had to lose her so many times? And that’s under the assumption that she thinks they’d even be able to go through with it when the time came. C’mon.

Regina is the logical choice for Emma to make.
